Jenn...
First of all, great ideas for the competition. This is going to be tremendous amounts of fun. FIFTY posts each before Black Friday? Excellent, that means two posts each a day, so we all better get writing. Secondly, fantastic prize package....you have really outdone yourself with this one. The accessories alone would be the top prize on other sites, throwing in the Aigo just isn't fair to other sites. People will complain. Thirdly, as a Pocketables graybeard I will definetly be entering all phases of the competition with gusto (like I need a reason to show off my kit or write about gadgets)but since I was the recipiant of one of your excellent prizes over the summer I am officially withdrawing my name from the random draw out of a sense of sportsmanship and wealth sharing. Play on and good luck to all. Lastly, to clarify since one of the best parts of this forum is the international/multicultural nature of the Pocketables community, by "Holiday" themed picture I assume you mean any of the festive December holidays (Christmas/Hannukah/Aid/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice)? Again, great contest and better forum. Good luck to everyone. Z

I just quit my job today so I can keep up with all of the upcoming posts, plus I will have to alter my sleeping patterns.

I admire your integrity, Z, but I'd really like your entries to have the same chance of winning as everyone else's. The prize you won over the summer wasn't one you entered to win; it was simply given to you because of who you are. ![]() Yep, "Holiday" refers to any winter festivity you can think of. @ GeoffreyM: Not a typo, I'm afraid. I thought about lowering the number but since it breaks down to only about 2 posts per day and it's a $1K+ prize (which I paid for with advertising and my bank account), I decided 50 posts total wasn't too outlandish. Plus, it's the second/third entry into the contest; I was only going to accept one entry per person at first. But that wouldn't be in keeping with the holiday spirit. ![]() During the Wind contest over the summer, some members posted 500+ entries each in just two weeks. Each post counted as an entry back then, though, so that explains why people camped out here. @ orbital: And you wonder why you're now a mod.

Jenn, I hit the 50 mark, I guess I'll take a photo of the D4 and then I am ready for my Aigo delivery

@ primaz: Unfortunately, you actually need to write 50 posts during the giveaway period (11/6 to 11/27).

Jenn
Is it possible to make the third entry (the photo) even if you don't get to acomplish the second? |

I hope that primaz will win the prize. Maybe that will help to get him convinced that the MID design is not so bad - even without a keyboard allowing touch typing.
I'm not able to compete, except if you accept posts in French: writing 50 significant posts in English in 3 weeks is a too big effort for me. However I already own an Aigo MID ![]() A second one would be useful for testing purposes, as I'm already using the Aigo MID as my secondary computer and don't like having to make a Midinux recovery each time I try a (bad) idea. But I can live without it... |

Jenn,
Is there a special discount for people for whom English is not their mother tongue? Let's say 30 posts instead of 50? And another discount for people who use thumbtyping keyboards for posting their messages? After all we are talking of "pocketable" devices... That could let me some chances to win the prize... |

@ ssagg: Yes, the entries do not have to be submitted in consecutive order. I only numbered them to make it clear that there are several ways to enter. You don't have to complete all the entries either. If you only want to do the gadget photo and not the other two, that's completely fine. Sorry for the confusion!
@ yves: There's no non-native speaker discount, but you can still do the DFJ and gadget photo entries. That would give you two chances to win.
