Cptnodegard is a wood-modding genius. You saw the giant Creative Zen Stone he made, right?

I found the new Panasonic have a new flagship in-ear phones. It is made by Zirconia and the cables are exchangeable. I haven been waiting for new Panasonic in-ear for a period. Most of their in-ear phones provide very good bass!

Interesting with the removeable cords. Similar to the Crossroads Bijou.

I have a pair of Altec-Lansing UHP336 earphones that I bought for $39. Great pair of earphones for $39 but not so sure I would be as happy if I paid $100 retail price. They have great sound, but are hard to fit and stick out of the ear more than most earphones (they are relabeled Ultimate Ear 3's). I also have a couple of pairs of Creative EP-630's that we use for exercise and walking. Very good earphones in the $30 range.

The UHP336 are excellent at that price. I use a pair myself for gym use.

Wink Re: What Headphones/Earphones do you use?

Etymotic ER-P

M for mobile BASS

or S for Stereo

Unbeatable Sound isolation

w/ true Reference quality sound reproduction

over 86% frequency response w/ M

and over 92% w/ S series

expensive yes...about 179-200 online discounters

but I've had a pair for 5 years + and thats thousands of hours of listening to notes, lectures, news, music, etc...at much lower volume levels

whether I use an i-River pmp or a Cowon S9 or just a laptop

these let me consistently lower the volume as I listen

(basically improving my hearing through entrainment)

I usually find people need to raise the volume when listening to my devices

because they've so heavily damaged their hearing(without even noticing it)
that they need to listen at ever increasing volumes.

The only cons other than price(they are much cheaper then custom molded ultimate ears)

is that the fit takes a while for some people to get accustomed to.

For me it took about 2 hours.

Great device that is an absolute must for any serious audiophile, laptop user, or PMP/DAP user.

Might also improve your hearing as a result even if you're not a classic audiophile.
